Teacher's Program
Lolita’s Legacy Pilates Teacher Training Program is a fully comprehensive 500-hour program that is internationally recognized and meets the requirements of professional standards as defined by the Pilates Method Alliance for Pilates Teacher Training. The Lolita's Legacy Teacher Training Program is a comprehensive curriculum that covers the full mat repertoire and all Pilates equipment: both apparatus, and auxiliary in its entirety.
You will learn the historical and contemporary exercises on Mat, Reformer, Cadillac / Trapeze, Chair, Barrels, Ped-o-Pull and auxiliary equipment (foam roller, circles, foot Corrector, etc.). The training also includes all the anatomy of movement, the history of the method, the philosophy of Joseph Pilates and teaching protocols of the method to make you more independent and insightful as possible in the method of Pilates. Lolita’s Legacy is the only certified training program on the market today that was created by one of the two people Joseph Pilates certified in his method, Lolita San Miguel. Ms. San Miguel studied with Joe Pilates in the 1960’s and has been carrying on his legacy educating students on what was his traditional way and how the method has evolved into a more contemporary approach based on scientific discoveries on the safety and mechanics of the spine.
The Method has changed very little in the past 50 years which is a credit to his genius but as sports sciences are making new discoveries Lolita San Miguel felt it was necessary to evolve to stay current and relevant. Lolita’s Legacy produces open minded teachers that have a full understanding of the method, outstanding teaching skills and unconditional passion for the Pilates system to ensure its prosperous growth. To ensure the highest caliber of training Lolita personally trained a group of Pilates instructors called Lolita’s Disciples and of that group personally chose the educators she wanted to carry on her legacy. Each training program is taught by a Legacy Educator in a boutique style intimate setting for small groups of ambitious students as they learn The Pilates Method.
